Tatiana katara has been creative her entire life, And it was likely due to the environment she was raised in. Both her grandfather and grandfather were Frank Lloyd Wright apprentices and her mother was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago. Tatiana was also influenced as a child by the spiritual sciences of yoga and Tibetan Buddhism. A child of consciousness, Tatiana’s awakened artistic spirit pours into every brushstroke she makes. After studying commercial art and design, as well as acting, Tatiana worked in the film, theater and music industry as a set designer and scenic painter. She is most noted for her black light live painting which she has been doing since 2003. At that time, she was the first and only black light live painter to be found in a Google search. Tatiana was the first featured live artist to paint at the 10,000 lakes festival. She has also performed as a live painter at the Dreamtime festival and Arise Festival in Colorado, the Grateful Dead Ball in Chicago, Phases of the Moon, Cosmic Ascension, and annually at Project Earth Festival, Shangri-La, and the Harvest Festival at Harmony Park since they started. She has had the honor of painting with many of the most notable Live painters of our time, Including Alex Grey and Allison Grey, Robert Randall, Morgan Mandala, DELA, and has had her fairy art featured At the Chalk Farm Gallery in Santa Fe with Brian Froud, David Delamare, Gil Bruvel, Daniel Merriam, Andrew Gonzalez and many other well-known Visionary Fantasy artists. Tatiana Katara's fairy work is in in the book Fairy Homes and Gardens, and For over a decade, she instructed at various botanical gardens including Chicago Botanic Gardens and Olbrich Botanic Gardens, With her work gaining global notoriety as a fairy sculpture artist.
